No More Changes!
It’s been a busy time since the Ratho competition which I unfortunately wasn’t at ! With enforced changes of dates, changing of arrangements and I think it’s worth saying that all the remaining dates will remain solid and people can make arrangements and bookings with confidence.
As I said I did not make the Ratho event so I can’t comment but would invite you to give some reviews of it on the comments below!
What did you think of the routes, the timings and anything else you care to big up or down!
Also if you have any photos from the ratho comp please add them to the gallery page here.
I leave you with a preview for Extreme dream from Al:
“As always there will be an amazing variety of routes and problems set to perplex and pump you out in equal measure, and don’t forget we are the original crazy hanging obstacle innovators and will continue pushing the boat out this year! For steep stuff where the tools come into their own we are number 1 so practice your fig 4s and sharpen your tools! For the finalists THE ROOF (say no more) beckons……”

Just one thing! I know this has happened to other people too. I haven’t managed to attempt every route in the competition due to running out of time. Granted in the Dundee comp I did have a 10min break in the middle, but in the ratho one I flashed all but 3 I think and was continuous the entire way and never managed to finish the last route. The difference of that one route was qualifying 2nd or coming 5th… which makes a big difference. I would like to see more time being added or at least everyone being given a reasonable time to finish all the routes if its going slower than expected. I had to queue for up to 20mins to get on one route!!!
awesome comp
without doubt the hrdest set of qualifiers iv ever seen at a tooling round
great routes – well done to the setters
mabee a few warm up problems would have been good for those who arnt so strong- and to ensure all go home with some points
finals wernt hard enough though-allthough they did split the competitors
greaqt round — well done guys
