STS on the Ben

STS on the Ben was a great success ;
3 days ,12 climbers ,11 routes , 2 lumps of cheese and one new line!

Greg Boswell on the first ascent of The Big Cheese (VIII,8) on Moonlight Gully Buttress on Ben Nevis.
The Dates are set for the Final of the 2012 Scottish Tooling Series.

Early season conditions are what the Scottish Tooling Series is all about and this year the Scottish Tooling Series in association with Big Tree Campervans have come up with a unique and exciting event.
The event for the prizewinners and selected runners up and will give the opportunity for climbing at the top level with access to top and experienced climbers from the Scottish Mixed climbing scene.
What’s involved
The STS Adult winners and selected runners up will be based at the CIC hut on the nights of the 2nd and 3rd of December.
Hosted by the STS team headed up by young mixed superstar Greg Boswell who will climb with a team of STS winners each day.
The aim of the weekend will be to attempt to climb new mixed routes or repeats that will challenge each person’s abilities.

The north face of Ben Nevis holds an amazing array of routes of all grades and this prize is an incredible opportunity for our winners to make their mark on the Scottish Mixed stage and put to use any equipment prizes they have gained throughout the series.

With the Series now completed the following people were awarded a special invite at the STS prizegiving in Glasgow to attend the STS on the Ben.
